Punk Again

My old school punk favorites (chronologically, of course):
-The Damned: Damned Damned Damned
I'm a bit obsessed with New Rose these days, but I love the whole damn record (btw: New Rose is the first "punk record," noobs). Damned Damned Damned slays the Sex Pistols and The Ramones simultaneously. Like I've said before, it's faster and more musically proficient than any other first wave punk band.
-Wire: Pink Flag
And then, in the same year, Wire created postpunk. Thank god. It's an unbelievable progression from all of the other Punk '77 bullshit.
-The Wipers: Is This Real
Admittedly, this started out as an entry entitled "The Strange Case of Greg Sage And The Wipers," but was abandoned prematurely, like most things my all-too-short attention span gets ahold of. It baffles me how someone can be so influential and so unknown at the same time. Points for songcraft, engineering skills and guitar heroics all go to Greg Sage.

Fuck, man.

I've have really intense blogger's-block, which is probably a good thing.

In the meantime, I thought this was really funny:
Patton vs The Famous Bowl

(oooh, a Patton Oswalt link! How hipstery!)
Oh yeah, I really like Ratatouille, btw.

What A Waste

Of the first blog of the new year.

[Note: for 2008 I'm going to start using the Tagging feature. Now I can instantly (and hopefully snarkily) judge every observation I make!]
